Irish Traditional Music

Irish music is the genetic term for music that has been created in ireland on both north and south of the borders.

The music in ireland is termed traditional irish music. it has remained vibrant through the 20th century and the 21st aswell. despite emigration and influences from Britian and America it has kept many of its traditional aspects and has influenced music such as American country and roots music. It has also been fused with rock music and punk music examples of these are Flogging molly and Dropkick Murphys.

Irish traditional music is seen as rebel music and is often about the rebbelions in ireland.
